Linguistic Computing Systems aims to be an indispensable technology partner for companies delivering applications with significant speech and natural language components. Our model is to combine internal R&D with published university research and/or off-the-shelf commercial resources, synergistically building a portfolio of capabilities which can be configured as custom and differentiating solutions to tough problems in the human language technology (HLT) space. We are fundamentally a B2B technology solutions provider with two constituencies:
- third-party companies who need custom HLT solutions,
- portfolio companies that have emerged from our company foundry process.
Our preferred solution delivery vehicle is via API-based SaaS, but other options are possible.
Creative services & partnerships
Linguistic Computing Systems’ general strategy is to build out a deep and broad portfolio of speech analysis (and related) technologies which can be combined, and augmented as necessary, to address market opportunities. This is done proactively (over many years of stealth mode R&D) and reactively in response to interest received from companies regarding our technology solutions for their products. Generally, we are looking to take advantage of synergies between the various technologies which we develop or bring in from external sources (e.g., APIs or open source) such that we are able to attack tough problems in our space with novel, innovative solutions.
In the spirit of synergistic portfolio building, LingCosms is open to speculative development of new capabilities for other companies, as long as significant market exists given successful demonstration of the new capability. Of course, we are also quite interested in supplying solutions based upon our existing technology portfolio. Our preferred delivery mechanism is via custom API access to our cloud based technologies, though other options (e.g., on prem, embedded) are possible.

In addition to serving as a speech and natural language technology partner for third parties, LingCosms undertakes development of interesting applications with the intent to launch them as a stand-alone companies powered by LingCosms technology.
